His Majesty The King visited the College of Language and Cultural Studies in Taktse, and then travelled to Yeundrupchoeling Dzong, accompanied by Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen and His Royal Highness The Gyalsey, yesterday.

Their Majesties met with thousands of people along the way, who had come to welcome their King and Queen and meet their Prince.

At Taktse, His Majesty granted an Audience to students and teachers.

The College of Language and Cultural Studies was established by His Majesty the Third Druk Gyalpo in 1961 and moved to Taktse from Semtokha in 2011.

Before addressing the students, His Majesty invited some of the alumni of the institute, who are now senior officials accompanying His Majesty on this visit, to speak about their long experience serving the country as experts in language, culture, literature and history.

In Yeundrupchoeling, hundreds of people from Langthil Gewog were gathered to receive an Audience.

His Majesty presented His Royal Highness The Gyalsey to the people, who took the opportunity to offer their dhar and wishes on the Royal Birth.

Their Majesties and His Royal Highness spent the afternoon in Yeundrupchoeling Dzong.

His Majesty granted Tokha to the people, who presented a cultural programme in honor of the Royal Visit.

Popular comedians accompanying the Royal entourage entertained the people.
