Bhutan will receive a fund of over Nu1 M under the Japanese Grant Aid to reconstruct bridges along the national highway.

To formalize the deal, exchange of notes was signed between the two countries at the Japanese Embassy in New Delhi, India, today.

A news release from the foreign ministry says the assistance will benefit Bhutan in realizing its goal of balanced socio-economic development.

Also, the grant aid agreement will be signed between JICA office and the Gross National Happiness Commission in the capital.
