A 35-year-old woman from Paro has been detained by police possessing tobacco products.
The police seized 636 packets of cigarettes and 97 packets of chewing tobacco from the woman’s shop.
Police had carried out a surprise inspection Tuesday evening after receiving a tip-off.
Paro police said she had purchased the products from the neighboring Indian town Jaigaon to be sold.
