Haa District Court sentenced a 52-year-old man from Paro to 15 years imprisonment for vandalising a chorten.

The verdict passed Thursday said the culprit from Loongnyi Gewog in Paro had vandalised a chorten in Uesu Gewog under Haa earlier in February, this year.

He was apprehended in June.

According to the police, the culprit’s shoe prints were found at the crime scene.

The culprit had also named another person involved in the crime, but he was acquitted by the court due to lack of evidence.
