a-physiotherapist-takes-up-hollow-block-manufacturing-businessIf opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door. This is what a 25-year-old medical university graduate from India did. He is into hollow block manufacturing business in Zhemgang, after his tireless effort to become a professional health worker failed. Today, the young entrepreneur is an inspiration, taking up a successful business.

a-physiotherapist-takes-up-hollow-block-manufacturing-businessTashi Tobgay went back to his village in Trong earlier this year when he could not get through the civil service examination. Tashi is happy now despite the mismatch between his job and qualification. His hollow block manufacturing plant today serves the purpose of every construction company in the region.

Tashi Tobgay said deep inside he regrets for not getting a job in the civil service but he is working hard to make this business a success. It has been about seven months since he started the business.

The demand has increased from the local companies. He also supplies his bricks to Mangdechhu project. The plant produces about 600 pieces of blocks in a day. When 770 megawatt Chamkharchuu Hydro Power Project in upper Kheng comes up, he is optimistic that the business would flourish. Currently he has 10 employees.
