paropolicestationParo police arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly misusing a hotel’s seal to avail loan from the Bhutan National Bank in December, last year.

The suspect, an employee of the hotel, had withdrawn Nu 170,000 after allegedly misusing his employer’s seal.

He was arrested Wednesday from Thimphu after the bank notified the hotel of pending payments.

The hotel came to know about the forgery only after the bank called. By then, the suspect had quit his job.

The man is said to have paid only Nu 14,000 as of now.
