Sarpang District Court convicted three men to nine years imprisonment for the gang rape of a 15-year-old female student. The court has also ordered the accused to pay a compensation of Nu 25,000 each to the victim.
If they fail to pay up, they will have to serve as additional four months prison term.
Sarpang police had arrested the men on June 7, a day after the crime was committed.
