PM meets people affected by Monggar fire

PM meets people affected by Monggar fireThe Prime Minister said a greater disaster was averted and fire contained successfully due to the supervision and guidance of His Royal Highness the Gyaltshab.

His Royal Highness personally supervised a group of volunteers, armed force personnel, DeSuups, and civil servants in fighting the fire and evacuating belongings.

After the fire was contained, HRH met with the victims and conveyed His Majesty’s deep concerns, as well as the Royal Command to the Dzongkhag to immediately extend all support necessary.

On the Command of His Majesty The King, the Office of the Gyaltshab and Monggar Dzongkhag arranged accommodation, food and other relief measures for the affected families.

PM meets people affected by Monggar fire--Lyonchhen also commended the armed force personnel, residents and students among others for their efforts in containing the fire.

He travelled to Monggar yesterday morning upon the command of His Majesty The King.

Upon arrival, he inspected the damaged houses.

Towards the afternoon, the Prime Minister met with the affected tenants, house owners, and shopkeepers.

Lyonchhen assured the affected house owners that they will be provided insurance as soon as possible. He promised that the school-going children of the affected families will be provided with books and stationeries. They will be given more guidance by the teachers to fare better with other students.
