His Holiness appoints Sungkhor and Principal

His Holiness appoints Sungkhor and PrincipalHis Holiness the Je Khenpo appointed a Sungkhor of the Parliament and a Principal of Mani Dungdrup Monastic School, today. His Holiness offered Khadar to the appointees at Tashichhodzong this morning.

Rinzin, 43, who is now the Sungkhor of the Parliament, have served the house for 16 years. He is being promoted in recognition to his hard work and dedication towards his duty.

Lopen Rinzin joined monkhood when he was 13 years old.

Tshewang, 42, was the principal of Hongtsho Trashigang monk school prior to his current appointment. Lopen Tshewang began his monastic life at the age of eight and graduated from Tango University.
