Acute Respiratory Infection outbreak reported in Dagana

Acute Respiratory Infection outbreak reported in DaganaAround 30 students of Phensumgang Primary School under Dagana Dzongkhag suffered from Acute Respiratory Infection, earlier this week.

The outbreak, according to Largyab Basic Health Unit, was due to contaminated water and seasonal change.

Similarly, another outbreak was reported in Goshing Gewog in Zhemgang, last week. Around 200 people were affected, who are now all cured.

Acute Respiratory Infection is a disease with common symptoms like high fever, severe headache, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. It is common among children and is mostly caused by seasonal change.
