Hundreds of people are working day and night to contain the swelling Amochhu and Dhuti Rivers in Phuentshogling. People have been working for five sleepless days so far.
Volunteers include Army personnel, DeSuups, government and corporate officials, including few private individuals are working near the rivers. Business communities are also utilising their machinery and equipment to contribute to the work.
While it is not known how long they might have to continue working, there are no additional threats or destruction due to slight improvement in the weather.
