Thimphu police save two from drowningThimphu police saved two people from drowning within a span of two days.

A team of police officers and constables saved a 16-year-old boy after he allegedly jumped from Changjiji’s cantilever bridge into the Wangchhu and was washed away 300 metres downstream, yesterday. The team could rescue the boy and took him to hospital.Thimphu police save two from drowning--

Similarly, a team of traffic police saved a woman, 20, from Lungtenzampa on Saturday night. They jumped into the river to rescue the woman upon hearing someone scream for help. The woman was taken to the hospital and has been discharged after treatment.
