Cause of suspension bridge collapse yet to be determined (2)(Update): The Works and Human Settlement Minister said they are yet to determine the probable cause which led to the collapse of a bailey suspension bridge in Samtse Monday.

Cause of suspension bridge collapse yet to be determined (3)The accident killed one and seven are still missing as the search efforts continue.

Lyonpo Dorji Choden, along with Dophuchen-Tading MP and officials from the Department of Roads, Samtse Dzongkhag and Dorokha Dungkhag, had visited the site yesterday.

The minister has promised the affected family members every possible help at this difficult time.

The 128-metre Amochhu Bailey suspension bridge over the Duenchhukha-Dophuchen (Dorokha) Gewog Connectivity Road was at the last phase of completion.

As per the Engineer at site, representing Rama Engineering Company of Kolkata, it was supposed to complete on Monday, the day of incident.
