Paro Dzongkhag Tshogdu is yet to hear from home ministry on the closure of Taktshang Monastery, every Tuesday. The issue was brought up once again during a meeting, yesterday.
In March this year, Home Minister, Dawa Gyeltshen had asked the dzongkhag to avoid closing the monastery until further instruction.
An appeal letter was sent to the minister asking for a definite instruction.
The decision to close the monastery every Tuesday except on auspicious dates, for cleaning and other maintenance works came from the dzongkhag Tshogdu, last year.
Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators had expressed disagreement about the decision.
