Mother of five allegedly gang rapedThree men are under Zhawakha police custody for allegedly raping a 45-year-old woman in Wangdue Phodrang. Police apprehended the trio; two of them 19 and the third one 17-year-old, on Tuesday.

The incident took place Monday.

The mother of five told the police she was on her way home after helping a neighbour when the incident happened.

The three suspects had also been at the same neighbour’s place.

Police said all of them were under the influence of alcohol.

Of the three, two have confessed to the crime, according to the police.
