(Update): The family members of a 35-year-old man, who died on April 20 in Dorokha Police Station in Samtse, say they will not pursue the case with the court. They had earlier accused the police personnel for the death.
The brother of deceased said they are now convinced that his brother died by suicide. An independent investigation revealed that the man died by suicide.
The medical report from Samtse District Hospital also states that the cause of death was due to cerebal axoxia from probable partial self-suspension.
The man had been detained after his wife had pressed battery charges against him.
