Office of the Attorney General (OAG) filed the battery case involving a student of Dechencholing Higher Secondary School to the Thimphu district court on Friday.
The student allegedly punched a teacher of the school during morning assembly, last month.
The school authority had earlier told BBS that the teacher had asked the student to be quiet by patting him on the shoulder. The student, the school authority said, started using vulgar remarks. The teacher once again patted him on his back that is the student punched him on the face.
