A 27-year-old woman was found dead at Jungshina in Thimphu, this morning. The deceased, who is from Chhukha, was discharged from Thimphu Hospital yesterday after delivering a child on Monday.
Except for strangulation mark on the woman’s neck, the investigation team found no external injuries.
The deceased’s father said his daughter went missing after dinner at 8 PM from their place in Jungshina. They tried calling but her phone was switched off.
He said they went in search of her but couldn’t trace her.
This morning, when the father was on his way to file in a missing report, he saw a group of people and police personnel nearby.
When he went to check, he found out it was his daughter’s body.
The police are investigating the case.
