Bhutan InfoComm and Media Authority (BICMA) has sent back Drukdra Lingpai Tashi case to Bhutan Film Association saying it is an administrative issue.
The association says they will make a final decision after a board meeting, later this month.
A scriptwriter had lodged a complaint in February accusing the scriptwriter of copying the screenplay from a foreign film, Tess of the D’Ubervillies.
A popular actor-director, Gyem Dorji had written the screenplay. The film won majority of the awards including the best film and screenplay in February.
