Religious heads share experiences

A weeklong Annual Dratshang Conference began today in Thimphu. Lam Netens from 20 Dzongkhags, Secretaries, Shedra Uzins, five Lopens and Sector Heads from Zhung Dratshang are attending the Conference. The opening was graced by his Holiness the Je Khenpo.

The conference is a platform for the Lam Netens and Shedra Uzins to share their experiences and problem faced in their Dratshang.

The Director of Dratshang Lhentshog, Karma Penjore, said the conference will see discussions on the ways and means to further improve and strengthen the functioning of administration, Financial Management and record keeping of the Dratshang.

Tomorrow, the conference will see discussions on GNH, followed by the session from the Department of Budget and Department of Public accounts.

The Royal Bhutan Police will also brief the participants.
