Prayer ceremonies for the Gyalsey’s birth beginsPrayer ceremonies for the birth of The Gyalsey have begun across the country, with the Zhung Dratshang, Dzongkhag Rabdheys, and Shedras, all over Bhutan, performing Zhabdrung Dha Nang Kurim.

His Holiness the Je Khenpo presided over the prayers at Tashichhodzong in Thimphu.

Ever since His Majesty the King announced on November 11, last year, that the country will be blessed with the birth of The Gyalsey, the entire country has been waiting for the day with great anticipation.

“A prophecy says peace and prosperity will flourish and evil averted, when Zhabdrung Dha Nang Kurim is conducted,” said Zhung Dratshang’s Tsugla Lopen, Samten Dorji.

People across the country have also begun offering prayers for the Royal Birth.
