Prayers flags removed for safety measure-- To make Mebartsho in Bumthang safer for the visitors, prayer flags strung by the lake were removed, today. Bumthang officials say prayer flags by the lake pose risk as it blocks the entire view of the lake.

Bumthang Dzongkhag has also notified the public not to string prayer flags along the lake’s vicinity. But, some continue to do so, according to our Bumthang Correspondent, Komal Kharka.Prayers flags removed for safety measure-

The dzongkhag also plans to install a notice board in the lake cautioning visitors visiting the lake.

DeSuups, along with the dzongkhag staff and Jakar Rabdey, conducted the cleaning campaign.
