Thimphu Police suspects an involvement of police personnel in producing bogus detention release order that led to the release of a convict. The convict, along with two accomplices who came with the fake release order, were arrested again on the same day, last week.

Police say such an act is possible only with the involvement of Police Personnel.

They found out that man was missing while taking attendance of the prisoners in the Detention Room.

The convict was sentenced to nine years in prison for statutory rape and was waiting to be sent to prison.
The case is still under investigation.
