Gelegphu has three nominees for the post of Thrompon. The nominees are Tshering Norbu from Tashiling, Tika Ram Khafley from Jampeling and Harka Bahadur Gurung from Samdrupling.
The thromde has three nominees for the post of Thromde Thuemi from three different constituencies. There are nine candidates for post of Tshogpa.
The present thrompon continues to hold office since he is not be contesting in the election. Gelegphu Thromde has more than a 1,000 registered voters in six constituencies.
