The Indian Embassy’s Deputy Chief of Mission, Bishwadip Dey handed over a cheque worth Nu 960.2 M to the Gross National Happiness Commission’s Secretary Sonam Wangchuk, in Thimphu, today.
The amount is part of GoI’s Project Tied Assistance projects and Program Grant, a press release from the GNH Commission says.
Government of India has committed Nu 45 B for the 11th five year plan. They have released about Nu 15 B to Bhutan as of now.
