MoE decides not to relocate central school worth Nu 130 MThe Ministry of Education (MoE) has decided not to relocate the Nu 130 M Norboogang Central School following uproar from the community, last month. People were not happy that the project was to be relocated to Peljorling in Tashichhoeling Dungkhag from the present location in Norboogang.

A letter from the Education Minister was handed over to gewog administration by the information and communications minister, DN Dhungyel, in presence of the public. The letters says, “as per the directive received from the Prime Minister that construction works of Norboogang Central School to continue as initially planned”.

People were frustrated after the works to construct the central school was abruptly stopped last month despite receiving all the necessary approvals. Locals consider this as the biggest project in their gewog.
