Pilot-RENEWA group of Bhutanese pilots has committed to financially support the cause of RENEW for 10 years. The group representative presented an annual contribution of Nu 1.2 M to RENEW, today. The commitment is in honour of the 60th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo.

Her Majesty the Queen Mother, Sangay Choden Wangchuck, who is the President of RENEW, graced the event.

Her Majesty expressed gratitude to the pilots’ group representative. Her Majesty said such contribution would go a long way in helping the cause of RENEW. RENEW is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to the relief and empowerment of disadvantaged women and adolescent girls.

The pilots said the support was with deepest gratitude for the selfless service of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo and in support of RENEW’s mission under Her Majesty’s patronage and leadership.

The pilots said the contributions from them to RENEW are expected to increase over the years. Apart from providing financial support, the group of pilots also pledged to support RENEW of its other programmes and activities for the welfare of women and children in the country.
