27 students in Lhuentse to receive His Majesty’s Kidu

27 students in Lhuentse to receive His Majesty’s Kidu-- His Royal Highness Gyaltshab Jigme Dorji Wangchuck granted audience to 27 students studying in various schools under Lhuentse Dzongkhag on November 2.

The 27 students were identified for His Majesty’s Kidu. They will be enrolled as Gyalpoi Tozey and receive financial allowances from His Majesty the King to meet their educational expenses. The students come from financially disadvantaged families. Some of them are orphans and some with single parents.27 students in Lhuentse to receive His Majesty’s Kidu---

His Royal Highness The Gyaltshab told the students to work hard and excel in their studies to be independent, support their families and serve the Nation, thereby fulfilling His Majesty’s aspiration for our country.

His Royal Highness also granted audience to 9 elderly destitute people from different gewogs under Lhuentse Dzongkhag. They will also be receiving monthly allowances from His Majesty the King. His Royal Highness granted Tokha and other Royal Soelra to the students and needy people.

Later in the afternoon, His Royal Highness visited Jangchubling Gonpa in Lhuentse and offered prayers for the wellbeing of His Majesty the King, His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, the country and all the sentient beings. On the way His Royal Highness inspected earthen pottery at Gangzur and interacted with the local people who offered Tshogchhang.
