The Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay said the services of 42 employees of the Royal Education Council will be extended for six months.
Speaking at the Meet the Press session today, Lyonchhen also said he will look for other job opportunities for them within that period.
“They are not civil servants and they are huge in number. We cannot recruit when we need them and we cannot expel when we don’t need them. We need to think on it.”
Earlier, the Royal Education Council had notified its employees that their service will be discontinued from next month.
