(Update): The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) suspended licenses of eight businessmen in connection with misappropriating imports at the entry point, yesterday.
The case is related with the recent freeze notice of land and flats and bank accounts of several individuals and a business firm in Phuentshogling.
The licenses have been suspended finding a prima facie meaning a fact presumed to be true unless disproved.
The Regional Trade office’s Regional Director, Tshering Nidup said they will have to wait for the final verdict in order to take necessary actions because they were unaware of the corrupt practices.
