DPT-PDP-Dasho BenjiDruk Phuensum Tshogpa (DPT) submitted evidences to the Thimphu District Court, today, to prove that Dasho Paljor J.Dorji posted supposedly defamatory comment against the party on social media, Facebook.

Special Advisor to the National Environment Commission Dasho Paljor J.Dorji, and popularly known as Dasho Benji is a public servant, according to DPT. The party says as a public servant who is entitled for monthly salary and allowances from the government’s consolidated fund, Dasho must be apolitical.

“The nature of his employment is very much an integral part of the National Environment Commission which is governed by rules and regulations of the RCSC.”

Dasho Benji will present his evidences to the court on March 12.

DPT had filed a libel lawsuit against Dasho Benji in September last year for posting an alleged defamatory statement against the party of having robbed the country blind on Facebook.
