Annual Performance Aggrement-Eastern DzongkhagPrime Minister Tshering Tobgay commended dzongdas from the six eastern dzongkhags for achieving the targets set during the annual performance agreement between the government and the dzongkhags.

During the first midterm review which was held in Monggar on Friday, Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay reminded the civil servants that the compact signing was not meant to provide extra works to the civil servants but to make it efficient to get the best outcome.

The meeting was chaired by the Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay where dzongdas from the six eastern Dzongkhags submitted their achievement based on the compact agreement.

Compact signing, the Lyonchhen said would ensure work progress while being executed and also to oversee the achievement.

In barely about six months since the signing of the agreement, most Dzongkhags had achieved the targets set. But the achievements do not go without challenges and difficulties.

Some of the common challenges were income and employment generation in the Dzongkhag, shortage of drinking water, human wild life conflict and insufficient travel and daily subsistence allowance. To this, Lyonchhen committed immediate support from the Government, but however, he said some issues reckoned further discussions.
