His Holiness the Je Khenpo appointed new Lam Neten of Samdrup Jongkhar, today.
Sangay Tshering, 52, is from Geleykha in Chhukha. Lam Sangay Tshering studied till higher secondary school and then joined Dodedra and Tango Monastic School. He also completed Lo-sum-cho-sum.
He served as a teacher at Paro Sangchen Chekhor Shedra and Tango Shedra.
Prior to his current appointment, he was serving as the Chief Administrator of the Zhung Dratshang.
