A 27-year-old man from Samtse has been apprehended by the Tingtibi police for possessing tobacco products. Police seized around a 100 packets of cigarettes and 68 dozens of chewing tobacco from his house in Tingtbi, following a tip off.
The man, a student in India, was on his winter holidays. He said he got the tobacco products from Phuentsholing for his own consumption.
This is the fifth such case in Zhemgang, this year.
