B-Wallet-ElectricBillTired of visiting the Bhutan Power Corporation or the cash counters to pay your electricity bill? There is good news for the B-Wallet customers. You will now be able to pay your bills using your mobile phones.

The service will be free of charge for the first two months. After that the customers will be charged Nu.10 for every transaction.

The customers can also pay for others, from all parts of Bhutan, as the service does not require internet connection.

To avail the service, the customers will have to be registered with Bhutan Telecom and provide Banking details. The customer identification number from Bhutan Telecom is then automatically linked either to the Bank of Bhutan or the Bhutan National Bank.

Today, there are as many as 25,000 B-Wallet customers of which 21,000 are with the Bank of Bhutan and 4,000 with the Bhutan National Bank.
