Jangchub Chorten constructed to commemorate Fourth Druk Gyalpo’s Birth Anniversary

JangchubChorten-60thBirthAnniversaryThe Jangchub Chorten, which the Gasa Dzongkhag constructed at Gasa hot spring, is dedicated to the 60th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo.

The Jangchub Chorten was consecrated by Dorji Lopen yesterday. More than 700 locals gathered at the consecration ceremony.

The chorten was built at a cost of about Nu.800,000 from the Gewog Development Grant contributed by the four gewogs. The 21-feet-tall chorten was constructed in three months time.
