DNDhungyel-BBS-PSBThe Bhutan Broadcasting Service (BBS) will be a Public Service Broadcaster (PSB), said the Information and Communications Minister, D.N.Dhungyel.

He was responding to a question on the status of BBS posed by the Nubi-Tangsibji MP, Nidup Zangpo.

As of now BBS is functioning under the Companies Act 2000.

“Works are underway to officially establish BBS as a public service broadcaster,” said the Lyonpo D.N.Dungyel.

In the previous question hour session, the members held a lengthy discussion on the status of the BBS with some ministers calling it a state-owned enterprise.
