His Majesty graces annual Chhukha Tshechu

HM-ChhukhaTsechuHis Majesty the King graced the second day of the annual Chhukha Tshechu yesterday. The annual religious festival began on Friday.

His Majesty the King was received by the officials of the Dzongkhag administration, the Gewog Administration and the people of Chhukha Dzongkhag.

His Majesty also interacted with thousands of people gathered at the festival.

Kishore MahbubaniHis Majesty the King was accompanied by Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay and other senior government officials. The annual Chhukha Tshechu was instituted in 1988.

His Majesty the King also attended a talk on ‘Asia in today’s world’ by Professor Kishore Mahbubani in Phuentshogling on Friday.

The professor was talking at the Friday Forum at the Royal Institute for Governance and Strategic Studies in Phuentshogling.

Professor Mahbubani is Dean and Professor in the Practice of Public Policy in the National University of Singapore.
