Big Bore shooting championship underway

Big Bore shooting championshipTo commemorate the Coronation Druk Gyalpos, the first ever Indo-Bhutan Big Bore shooting championship is underway.

The five day event, which began yesterday, has 32 participants from India and Bhutan.  It is being held at the Royal Body Guards firing range in Dechencholilng. Participants are using big bore rifles.

The competition is being held in different categories for both men and women. Targets are positioned 300 meters away from the shooters who are given sixty bullets to hit the target. The Indo-Bhutan Big bore shooting Championship ends this Saturday.
