The Gelegphu Dungkhag Court sentenced a man to 10 years in prison for raping his daughter. The 16-year-old girl was repeatedly raped by her 39-year-old father since December, last year.
However, it was only in June this year that the crime was reported to the police after it came to the notice of Chhuzanggang Gewog Administration.
Medical examination has confirmed the rape.
