Body of a man recovered

A body of a man was recovered from the Kurichhu Hydropower Dam this morning, after a week long search. The Police handed over the body to the family members.

The deceased was among the two, who were washed away by the Kurichhu River at Gyalpoizhing, last Monday. Both of them were the employee a workshop in Monggar.

The search teams are still looking for the other man.

His Majesty’s Thukso of Nu. 10,000 each was given to the deceased’s families through Dzongkhag Kidu Officer. This is the second such case reported in Gyalpoizhing this year.
