Government expected to generate Nu. 800 MN from imposed taxes

The government is expected to generate around Nu. 800 MN annually from the taxes imposed on fuel, vehicle and communication, the Finance Minister, Namgay Dorji told our reporter Surjaman Thapa, in Trongsa.

Lyonpo Namgay Dorji said the taxes were imposed, not necessarily to generate profit, but to cut down imports and at the same time address INR crunch.
