Dechen Zangmo, a class 10 student of Phuentsholing Higher Secondary School, won the 2014 Golden Youth Award. She received the Golden Youth Award from the President of the Youth Development Fund, Her Majesty the Queen Mother Tshering Pem Wangchuck.
“The students at the camp are the best of the best. They were selected from among 10,000 students, so they are winners as well. Being able to participate in this award camp is a once in a life time opportunity,” she said.

Eighty class 10 students from across the country took part in the week-long Golden Youth Award Camp this year, which ended yesterday.
The Golden Youth Award Camp was started in 2008 to recognise and reward excellent students. The Education Ministry says it has plans to replicate the camp in the dzongkhags as well
