Continuous rainfall last night has resulted in two road blocks along the Gelegphu-Zhemgang highway. One block occurred at Chisopani and the other at the box cutting. Passenger buses and other vehicles headed for Zhemgang were stranded for about four hours.
The blocks were cleared around 10 am today and the stranded vehicles left for their destinations.
The Department of roads is cautioning drivers to drive carefully as monsoon can cause landslide. This is the first road block reported on the Gelegphu-Zhemgang highway, this year.
