DHI records an overall revenue increase of 9percentThe Druk Holding and Investments (DHI) recorded an overall revenue increase of 9 percent in 2013. The increase is close to Nu.27 BN in 2013 from about Nu.25 BN in 2012.

The increase in the revenue generation has been attributed to an increase of revenue from the DHI owned companies; especially energy and resources and communication and transport.

The Druk Green Power Corporation earned Nu 5.3 BN profit after taxes, which is an increase of 26 percent compared to 2012.

Bhutan Power Corporation’s annual turnover for 2013 is Nu.6.4 BN. BPC had reflected Nu.6.2 BN as the annual turnover in 2012.

However, the profit for Bhutan Telecom dropped. Bhutan Telecom’s profit, after taxation, decreased by nearly 29 percent in 2013 from 2012.

Even Drukair announced a decline in the profit by 22.35 percent in 2013 as compared to the year before. After tax, Drukair declared a profit of Nu 124.89 MN, in 2013.
