Bridges washed away by flash flood in Trashi Yangtse

teodtsho gewog flashflood. A flash flood washed away two extension bridges and five acres of paddy field at Toedtsho Gewog in Trashi Yangtse, on Tuesday. A heavy rainfall is said to have triggered the flood at around 6 in the evening.

The bridges benefit more than 160 households. The flood is also said to have caused damages to irrigation canals.

The Gewog and the Dzongkhag officials led by the Dzongda visited the site yesterday but are yet to gauge the extent of the damage.
