Bhutan airline-Nepal FlightBhutan Airlines, the country’s first and the only private airline, will fly to Nepal beginning 16th of this month. The Airline launched its inaugural flight to Kathmandu yesterday.

Bhutan Airlines officials said the airlines will focus on providing excellent service to the passengers as it expands its reach.

“We are targeting both Bhutanese and tourists for its Kathmandu flight,” said Phala Dorji, Chief Executive Officer of the Bhutan Airlines.

The launch comes as a relief to the Bhutanese tour operators as it is hard to get tickets during the peak tourist season.

Bhutan Airlines will fly to Kathmandu twice a week- every Monday and Thursday beginning June 16 until August. From September, there will be daily flights to Kathmandu. The airfare for local travelers will be Nu. 12,000.

Bhutan airlines will now fly to three destinations- Kathmandu, Kolkatta and Bangkok.

On the domestic front, Tashi Air will resume its flight to Bumthang and Yonphula sometime in October or November this year.
