Indian PM to visit Bhutan

Indian-PM-Narendra-Modi-Bhutan Visit. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bhutan later this month in his first foreign visit after assuming power.

Prime Minister Modi will be travelling to Bhutan and will hold talks on key bilateral and regional issues.

According to the reports from the Indian media, the visit reflects the importance India attaches to its ties with Bhutan. Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay was among the leaders from the neighbouring countries to attend PM Modi’s swearing-in on May 26.

After the swearing-in, PM Modi had held a short bilateral meeting with Lyonchhen.

Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, will make his first overseas visit to Bhutan. This was announced by Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay this afternoon. The Indian Prime Minister will be on a two-day visit, from June 15-16.

“The fact he has chosen Bhutan as a first visit overseas is an honor in and by itself. We will use as an opportunity and further strengthen the already close tight friendship. We will also discuss and we will talk about 11th Five year Plan, ongoing hydropower Projects, ESP, we will certainly reflects on past success and then work towards future,” said the Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay.
