4 Indian nationals arrested for an alleged gang rape

Thimphu police have arrested four Indian nationals for allegedly gang raping a 42-year-old Bhutanese woman.

The alleged gang rape is reported to have taken place in Serbithang, Thimphu around 7:30 pm on July 1.

As per police investigations, the victim was with a man on that fateful evening. Two of the four accused battered the man, while the other two is said to have grabbed the victim. The man escaped the scene and informed the police.

The suspects were caught on the same night. Police say they have confessed to the crime.
