Fire-HaaA two-storied traditional House in Haa was completely burnt down yesterday. The incident happened at around 1pm at Jenkana under Samar Gewog in Haa.

A five-year-old child, playing with matchstick, is said to have started the fire. The child had been left alone at home while the parents had gone out to work. Fire-fighters were unable to save the house or any belongings because of the strong winds. There were no casualties, the police said.

The Dzongkhag gave Nu.10,000 to the affected family as semso, on behalf of Gyalpoi Zimpon’s office.
